في الخامس من أبريل 1988، اختُطفت الطائرة الكويتية "الرحلة 422" على يد حزب الله، وأُرغمت على الهبوط في إيران قبل رحلةِ رعبٍ استمرّت ستةَ عشرَ يوماً عبر ثلاث قارّات. كان المطلب إطلاق "الـ17" مفجّري الكويت عام 1983. قتل الخاطفون شابّين كويتيّين وألقوا جثّتيهما على المدرّج، لكن الكويت رفضت الابتزاز ولم تُفرِج عنهم. قصةٌ لم تُروَ بتفاصيلها, ودمٌ لا يُنسى.

On 5 April 1988, Kuwait Airways Flight 422 was hijacked by Hezbollah and forced to land in Iran, beginning a 16-day ordeal across three continents.
