العراق يطفو على بحر من النفط، وشعبه ينتظر راتبه، لأن دولتين تنهبانه من طرفين. أمريكا تمسك محفظته: كل دولار من نفطه يمر عبر حساب البنك المركزي العراقي في بنك الاحتياطي الأمريكي في نيويورك، حيث تُحتجز نحو 80 إلى 85 مليار دولار، والنفط يموّل أكثر من 90% من الميزانية، فأي احتجاز يعني رواتب لا تصل. ومن الطرف الآخر، إيران تسرق اسمه: تمزج نفطها المحظور بالنفط العراقي وتبيعه كأنه عراقي بوثائق مزوّرة ورشى لموظفين متواطئين, نحو 31 مليون برميل في عام واحد تحت اسم العراق إلى الصين، ومليار دولار سنوياً. حتى وزير النفط العراقي اتهم إيران علناً. بلد يُنهب من جيبين في آن واحد، والثمن يدفعه العراقي.

Iraq floats on an ocean of oil, yet its people wait for their salaries , because two countries drain it from opposite ends. America holds its wallet: every oil dollar passes through a Central Bank of Iraq account at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which holds ~$80–85B, and oil funds 90%+ of the budget, so any hold on access means salaries don't arrive. And Iran steals its name: it blends its sanctioned crude with Iraqi oil and sells it as "Iraqi" using forged papers and bribed, complicit officials , ~31 million barrels in one year disguised as Iraqi to China, ~$1B annually. Iraq's own oil minister publicly accused Iran. A country robbed from two pockets at once , and the Iraqi people pay.
