هيتشي

جدّه هندي. منفاه فرنسي. عاد إلى طهران في فبراير ١٩٧٩ بطائرة إير فرانس، ومعه مئة وعشرون صحفيّاً غربيّاً. سألوه ما شعورك بالعودة. قال "هيتشي"، أي لا شيء. صادق قطب زادة الذي ترجم تلك الكلمة، أعدمه الخميني بعد ثلاث سنوات.

His grandfather was Indian. His exile was French. He returned to Tehran in February 1979 on an Air France plane, with 120 Western journalists. They asked him what he felt about coming home. He said "Hichi". Nothing. Sadegh Ghotbzadeh, who translated that word for him, was executed by Khomeini three years later.
