إلا بإذني

بإذنِ مَن؟ أمس ضربت طائرة إيرانية مسيّرة سفينة شحن سنغافورية تخرج من هرمز قرب سواحل عُمان، لأنها سلكت الطريق العُماني الآمن ولم تستأذن إيران. أمريكا أسقطت ثلاث مسيّرات وأصابت واحدة السطح، ثم ردّت بضرب مخازن ومسيّرات ورادارات إيرانية، وسمّاها ترامب خرقاً أحمق. القصة ليست رسوم عبور. الرسوم تأخذ مالاً، والإذن يأخذ القرار. إيران تريد أن تنصّب نفسها صاحبة قرار العبور في الخليج: تمرّ أو تنتظر، تصدّر أو تُمنع. اليوم سفينة، وغداً قرار خليج كامل.

By Whose Permission? Yesterday an Iranian drone struck a Singapore-flagged cargo ship leaving Hormuz off the Omani coast , because it took the safe Omani route and didn't ask Iran's permission. The US downed three drones, one hit the deck, then America struck Iranian storage, drones, and coastal radar; Trump called it a foolish violation. This was never about a transit toll. A toll takes money; permission takes the decision. Iran wants to install itself as the one who decides who passes the Gulf: move or wait, export or be blocked. Today a ship, tomorrow the decision of an entire Gulf.
