العلم يعود إلى سقطرى

في 18 مايو 2026، هبطت طائرة تابعة للقوات الجوية السعودية في سقطرى. على متنها: محافظ الجزيرة، ولواء سعودي. العلم اليمني عاد رسمياً. لثماني سنوات، كانت الجزيرة في يد غيرها. في 2018، أنزلت الإمارات قواتها ورفعت علمها على المباني الحكومية في سقطرى. في 2020، استولى المجلس الانتقالي المدعوم إماراتياً على الجزيرة في انقلاب. أدارت الإمارات سقطرى كأنها إقليم تابع لها — الميناء، المطار، الجنسية، البنية التحتية. وثّقت تقارير عمليات استخباراتية إسرائيلية على الجزيرة. ثم جاء الضغط السعودي وأخرج الإماراتيين. العلم عاد. السيادة عادت. لكن السؤال يبقى: كيف اختفت جزيرة يمنية لثماني سنوات — ومن سمح بذلك؟

On May 18, 2026, a Royal Saudi Air Force plane landed on Socotra. Onboard: the island's governor and a Saudi brigade. The Yemeni flag was officially restored. For eight years, the island had belonged to someone else. In 2018, the UAE landed troops and raised its own flag over Socotra's government buildings. In 2020, the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council seized the island in a coup. The UAE ran Socotra as an overseas territory — port, airport, citizenship, infrastructure. Some reports documented Israeli intelligence operations on the island. Then Saudi pressure forced the UAE out. The flag returns. The sovereignty returns. But the question stays: how did a Yemeni island disappear for eight years and who let it happen?
